The Marrickville Facebook group is great! It’s the first place I go to if I have questions about something happening in the area or I’m looking for something. It’s also fantastic for promoting our businesses during the business hours each week.
So much positivity can be shared on social media. I’ve mentioned so many times how much support and help I’ve gotten on social media during tough times. It makes a *huge* difference. And sometimes it’s the only way that people can reach out for help – due to distance from loved ones, or struggles with talking in person. Plus, the shared feeling of “this is so shit” regarding parenting can be very bolstering! Knowing others are struggling can actually be a positive thing 🙂
